8/17/24: How to Help Generalize Surrogate Partner Therapy CE

Instructor: Andrew Heartman, Certified Professional Surrogate Partner

When: Saturday, August 17th, 2024, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Pacific time (1:00 – 3:00 pm Eastern time).

Format: Live webinar, zoom link sent in advance of class.

One of the most important goals of Surrogate Partner Therapy is for the client to be able to generalize their experience to other experiences, including future relationships. In order to most effectively facilitate this, deliberate intention must be placed on the generalizing process. In this course, we will unravel the generalization process into its component parts, each of which can be supported in concrete ways.

This presentation is the result of 13 years of personal research and exploration into what facilitates generalization. The methodology shared will be beneficial, not only for surrogate partners and collaborating clinicians, but for anyone wishing to generalize specific experiences to deeper awareness and internal capacity.

A practicing surrogate partner for 13 years, Andrew Heartman is passionate about overcoming misconceptions about Surrogate Partner Therapy and spreading accurate information about the practice. As Co-Founder of the Surrogate Partner Collective and mentor to surrogates in the internship phase of their training, he is committed to elevating the professionalism of those who engage in this therapy modality as well as the understanding of the public. Lots more information, including videos and interviews, can be found at www.surrogatepartner.us.
